“Dewaler o ache kaan, shey amader shob kotha shunte paye—jhogra, marpit, chitkar, prem, bhalobasha, ushnota.” With this whimsical line, composer-producer Rajkumar Sengupta captures the delightful chaos of love in his upcoming Bengali single Dewaler O Ache Kaan , releasing April 25th.
Written and composed by Sengupta, the track stars the ever-expressive Silajit Majumdar—singing and acting alongside Rimjhim Mitra . “The idea struck me while watching a foreign film,” shared Sengupta, now based in Mumbai. “I knew right away I needed Silajit and Rimjhim to nail the perfect mix of quirk and warmth.”
The music video promises humour, heart, and a bit of absurdity — all wrapped in a catchy love track about how even the walls are listening.
Releasing under Sengupta’s indie label Black & White Records , the single marks a fresh chapter in his mission to grow regional, national, and global collaborations. “Independent music is where the real fun is,” he said. “And I’m just getting started.”
