CBSE Introduces Six-Digit Access Code System for DigiLocker Activation Ahead of Class 10, 12 Results 2025

New Delhi, May 6 The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rolled out a six-digit access code-based system to activate DigiLocker accounts for Class 10 and 12 students, aimed at streamlining access to digital academic documents such as marksheets, migration certificates, and pass certificates.

The move comes ahead of the much-anticipated CBSE Board Results 2025 and is intended to ensure secure and instant access to student records hosted on DigiLocker’s ‘Issued Documents’ section.

As per the official CBSE circular:

  • Each student will receive a unique six-digit access code

  • These codes are uploaded student-wise into school DigiLocker accounts

  • Schools are responsible for downloading and distributing the access codes

CBSE has collaborated with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to store academic documents via its digital repository Parinam Manjusha.

Schools can obtain and distribute the codes using the following steps:

  • Visit

  • Select ‘Login as School’ and log in using official credentials

  • Click on ‘Download Access Code File’

  • Select the applicable class Class 10 or Class 12

  • Download and distribute the file and user manual to students

    Once students receive their access code, they can:

  • Go to

  • Enter the six-digit code to activate their DigiLocker account

  • Retrieve their Class 10 or 12 academic records under ‘Issued Documents’

  • For technical support, raise a ticket at under the category “CBSE International Student 2025”

    Despite growing anticipation, CBSE has clarified that no official date has been finalized for the Class 10 and Class 12 results. The Board has dismissed speculation around a May 2 release and urged stakeholders to rely only on verified announcements.
