The accused, Dinesh Kumar (59), originally from Prem Nagar, Foy Sagar Road, Ajmer and currently residing in Jawahar Nagar, was posted as Additional Administrative Officer in the Jaipur District Office under the Food Safety and Drug Control department.

Bribe Demanded for Pharmacy Name Change

According to Dr. Ravi Prakash Meharda, Director General of ACB Rajasthan, the Jaipur Nagar-1 unit received a complaint from a pharmacist alleging that Dinesh Kumar was demanding ₹5,000 to process a name change for his medical store. The complainant further claimed that he was being harassed to pay the bribe.

After verifying the complaint under the supervision of DIG Rahul Kotoki and under the leadership of Additional SP Bhupendra of Jaipur Nagar-1, the ACB laid a trap. Upon confirmation of the bribe demand, the team executed a planned operation and caught Dinesh Kumar red-handed while taking the bribe money.
