NEW DELHI — April 14, 2025 — In a significant operational update, India’s leading airline IndiGo has announced that it will cease all flight operations from Terminal 2 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) starting April 15. Going forward, all affected flights will be shifted to Terminal 1, with some continuing as usual from Terminal 3.
Terminal Reshuffle Due to Maintenance WorkThe airline released an official statement confirming the relocation of its Terminal 2 arrivals and departures to Terminal 1. The decision comes as Delhi Airport authorities prepare to initiate maintenance work at Terminal 2. IndiGo emphasized that this move is part of a broader operational restructuring, aimed at streamlining services and minimizing disruption.
Flights operating from Terminal 3 will remain unaffected and will continue according to their existing schedule.
Passenger Advisory: Confirm Terminal Details Before DepartureTo avoid confusion and inconvenience, IndiGo has begun notifying impacted travelers through SMS, phone calls, and emails. Passengers are strongly advised to verify their terminal information via IndiGo’s official website or mobile app using their Passenger Name Record (PNR) before heading to the airport.
This temporary shift will stay in effect until further notice. IndiGo is actively coordinating with airport authorities to ensure smooth passenger transitions and efficient ground operations during the maintenance period.
