Lemon Tree Hotels Rises on Darjeeling Expansion; New Property to Open by FY26

Mumbai, April 8, 2025 Shares of Lemon Tree Hotels surged by 2.76% to ₹137.60 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) following the company’s announcement of a new hotel signing in Darjeeling, West Bengal. This move marks a strategic expansion into one of India’s most popular hill destinations, enhancing the company’s presence in Eastern India.

New Property: Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels, Darjeeling

The newly signed property will operate under the Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels brand. The hotel, which is set to begin operations in FY26, will be managed by Carnation Hotels, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels.

It will feature 65 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant, meeting room, recreation facilities, and other essential public amenities. With proximity to Bagdogra Airport (70 km) and Darjeeling Railway Station (2.5 km), the hotel is expected to attract both leisure and business travelers.
