The weather advisory covers Ranchi and surrounding areas, warning residents to remain cautious amid changing weather conditions.

According to IMD, residents of Ranchi, Khunti, Ramgarh, Gumla, and Hazaribagh should prepare for sudden weather changes, including thunderstorms and gusty winds. The alert indicates a moderate level of caution, urging citizens to secure loose outdoor items and avoid unnecessary travel during peak wind activity.

Thunderstorms and Winds Predicted for Southern and Northeastern Jharkhand on Tuesday

On Tuesday, April 9, the weather conditions are expected to intensify, particularly in the southern and northeastern regions of the state. The forecast includes possible lightning strikes and winds gusting between 30 and 40 km/h. A yellow alert remains in place for the affected districts as a precautionary measure.

Stronger Winds Likely on April 9; IMD Advises Vigilance

The IMD has extended its yellow alert to April 9 as well, with warnings of thunderstorms and winds potentially reaching up to 50 km/h in parts of southeastern and east-central Jharkhand. These conditions could lead to minor disruptions, especially for outdoor workers and travelers.

In temperature updates, Ranchi recorded a maximum of 36.2°C on Monday, while Jamshedpur saw a sweltering 40.3°C. Daltonganj and Bokaro registered highs of 40.8°C and 40.5°C respectively, marking a significant heat trend before the expected rainfall.
