Carmelo Anthony calls Nico Harrison’s Dallas Mavericks exit a hidden blessing
During a recent appearance on NBA on NBC, Carmelo Anthony reacted to Nico Harrison’s eviction from Dallas Mavericks. The New York Knicks’ icon claimed that the decision was a result of the Mavericks’ repeated poor performance but even pointed out the silver lining in the cloud. According to Carmelo Anthony, his exit from the Mavericks was just a reset button. While talking about Nico Harrison’s state of mind, Anthony said,
“Do I think Nico Harrison is upset? No, I think this takes a weight off his shoulders. I think he gets a chance to go be with his family. He gets a chance to just live life because it was stressful.”
He further added,
“You imagine coming to work every single day and the fans and the people that you’re trying to impress is saying fire you. So I think it was best for both parties to walk away, although it was a fire. You just got to be careful, because the moves that you make are just as important than what’s happening on the basketball court.”
While being fired from any organization leaves a negative impact on the respective person’s career, based on Carmelo Anthony’s take on Nico Harrison’s exit, there is a blessing in breaking. Reportedly, Harrison played a major role in Luka Doncic ’s trade to the Los Angeles Lakers, which left Dallas Mavericks fans furious.
