LeBron James and Steve Nash 's collaborative project - the Mind the Game podcast has seen quite a few veterans of the Game come in for a chat. And now, for the upcoming episode, they have roped in Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry . A teaser video was released on their YouTube channel, which saw LeBron James talk a little about his Team USA team mate while Curry could be seen coming into the recording studio to film the episode.
The episode will go live on November 4, and Curry will join James and Nash for a long chat about life - in and out of the basketball court. James and Curry have become friends over the years, and this podcast episode will give fans a look at how the two legends of the game get on with each other.
LeBron James on what makes Stephen Curry great
LeBron James and Stephen Curry - once rivals, have now become friends. They had played together during NBA All-Star Games before, but the 2024 Paris Olympics was the first time these two NBA greats came together for the first time as teammates in a competitive setting, when they led Team USA to victory. In a recent video teaser, where Stephen Curry was announced as the next guest on Mind the Game , James could be seen speaking about his colleague from the national team, saying:
"There's just certain guys over the course of the history of the game, no matter what you do, they still have an advantage. And that's what makes him great."
Curry is undoubtedly one of the greatest ever players to have been a part of the NBA. And while the GOAT debate usually starts and ends with James and of course, Michael Jordan - many have also said that Curry - with his talent inside the court, should be just as much a part of the debate as any of them. Maybe this episode will poke fun at that subject as well!
Stephen Curry's Golden State Warriors are in a slump
The Golden State Warriors started out pretty well this season, with their preseason wins as well as the regular season run. They are currently on a 4-3 run, and of these, their last two games ended in defeat - against the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers. To fans' fury, both teams were without their key players during those games - Bucks without Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Pacers without Tyrese Halliburton, who will be out for the entirety of the 2025-26 season.
Warriors writer Peter O'Keefe, after the team's latest loss against the Pacers, pointed his fingers towards Curry, saying, “Stephen Curry is a major reason behind a pair of embarrassing losses.” Even after averaging 26.6 points and 4.4 assists on 46.5% field goal shooting and 38.5% three-point shooting this season, Curry is not exempt from criticism, but he has taken the criticism gracefully. Hopefully, the Warriors can kick out of that slump when they face the Phoenix Suns next.
