NEW DELHI: India has shot down two fighter jets of Pakistan in a strong retaliatory action by air defence system on Thursday evening, news channels NDTV and India Today reported.
The Indian action came in response to coordinated attacks by Pakistan across multiple locations across states on India-Pakistan border .
Tensions escalate between the two countries as India intensifies its counterterror operations under ‘ Operation Sindoor ’.
Earlier to this, Pakistan targeted multiple locations in India using drones, but Indian air defence systems successfully intercepted and shot down many of them with advanced anti-drone technology.
India's strong response to Pakistan's target came as a part of its ongoing counterterror action under 'Operation Sindoor.' The operation was launched to avenge Pahalgam terror attack which was backed by Pakistani forces, that claimed 26 lives.
