THANE: Police in Navi Mumbai have arrested a 35-year-old man from Guinea, West Africa, after finding cocaine worth Rs 1.02 crore in his possession. The arrest took place at a housing society in the Ulve area on Monday.
Acting on a tip, the anti-human trafficking cell of the Navi Mumbai police raided a flat and seized 412 gm of cocaine. The detained individual, described as a "35-year-old African national," was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances ( NDPS ) Act.
Authorities are investigating the origin of the cocaine and identifying potential buyers.
