Rory McIlroy finally captured his first Masters title on Sunday night, and one of the first major stars to publicly celebrate the moment was none other than NBA great Steph Curry .

The Golden State Warriors guard, a well-known golf enthusiast and winner of the 2023 American Century Championship, posted four-word message on his Instagram story: “Your time good man! @rorymcilroy.” Curry’s nod carried extra meaning as an elite competitor in his own right, he knows what it takes to climb to the top after years of close calls and near-misses.

McIlroy’s win at Augusta was more than just a long-awaited victory. The 35-year-old became only the sixth golfer in history to complete the career Grand Slam, joining legends like Tiger Woods , Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, and Gene Sarazen. With previous major wins at the U.S. Open (2011), PGA Championship (2012, 2014), and The Open Championship (2014), the Masters had been the only missing piece in his collection, until now.

The win ended an 11-year major drought for McIlroy and marked a career-defining moment that resonated far beyond golf. Stars from across sports and entertainment, including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Adam Sandler, joined Curry in celebrating the milestone.
