WWE has officially announced that Perth will host the premium live event Crown Jewel: Perth on Saturday, October 11, 2025 - marking a historic first as the Crown Jewel event steps outside Saudi Arabia for the very first time.
Part of a triple-header weekend takeover at RAC Arena from October 10 to 13, the event is expected to draw thousands of interstate and international visitors, giving Perth a prominent spot on WWE’s global tour map this year.
John Cena's final bow in Australia
One of the major attractions for the weekend is none other than 17-time world champion and Hollywood superstar John Cena. The 2025 Crown Jewel will feature Cena’s last live performance in Australia as part of his farewell tour, making it a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fans.
This marks a significant moment for WWE fans Down Under, many of whom last saw Cena during WWE’s previous visits years ago. The event will also see top-tier matches featuring both men’s and women’s champions, following last year’s success where Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan claimed inaugural Crown Jewel titles.
The announcement has been backed by the Western Australian Government, highlighting its potential to bring in millions of dollars for the local economy. Last year’s Elimination Chamber: Perth reportedly generated $36.2 million and drew more than 18,000 out-of-state visitors - numbers Crown Jewel is expected to surpass.
WA Tourism Minister Reece Whitby called the event a “blockbuster line-up that can’t be seen anywhere else in Australia, New Zealand, or South-East Asia this year.”
Fan experience to go beyond the ring
Alongside the wrestling action, fans can also expect the return of the WWE Superstore in Perth’s CBD, offering exclusive merchandise. The city will also see increased tourism activity as WWE stars Rhea Ripley and Grayson Waller explore and promote local attractions ahead of the event.
Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti expressed excitement about hosting three straight days of wrestling action. “The energy will be electrifying when John Cena and other WWE stars take the stage,” she said.
With its mix of nostalgia, star power, and economic promise, Crown Jewel: Perth is shaping up to be a headline moment not just for WWE, but for Western Australia as a whole.
