Recently, the New York Mets popular pitcher Clay Holmes expressed his excitement for the upcoming series.

During a post-game interview with the SNY, the Mets’ star said-

"Yeah, it'll be my first time on the visiting side. I'm looking forward to it. Still know a few guys over there. It'll be fun to go back there as a visitor and hopefully get a few wins. Should be a great atmosphere. The Subway Series are always fun playing in, and I expect no different this time."


Not only Clay Holmes, former New York Yankees star Juan Soto even reacted to the upcoming game between both teams scheduled on May 16, 2025. As reported by the MLB.com’s New York Mets’ beat writer Anthony DiComo, the $765 million star was asked about what was he looking forward to the most with respect to the clash between the Yankees and Mets, to which Soto replied-


“The Crowd.”



Looking at the current roster of both New York Yankees and New York Mets, there a few athletes who have experienced this rivalry before also. For Mets’ $765 million prospect Juan Soto, it will be almost the same experience but on a different side with respect to the crosstown clash. Both Mets and Yankees fans cannot wait for a happening weekend. The Subway Series was introduced in 2000 for the first time.
