NEW DELHI: Esha Oza has been appointed captain of the UAE Women's cricket team for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier 2025 , scheduled in Bangkok , Thailand. Before the qualifier, the team will participate in a four-nation competition featuring UAE, Thailand, Kuwait and Hong Kong.
The Thailand International Quad Series commences on Saturday, May 3, with UAE facing Hong Kong in their opening match. The UAE squad will subsequently compete against Kuwait on May 4, followed by a match against Thailand on May 5.

The ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier begins on May 9, featuring nine teams distributed across three groups, with three teams in each group.
The tournament format requires each team to face their group opponents twice. Following these matches, the group winners will compete in a triangular tournament, with the top two sides advancing to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier.
UAE, positioned in Group B alongside Malaysia and Qatar, will start their campaign against Malaysia on the qualifier's opening day and play them again on May 13. Their matches against Qatar are scheduled for May 10 and May 15.
