Urmila Sharma is happy to celebrate Diwali

Actress Urmila Sharma, known for featuring in popular shows like Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!, Jija Ji Chhat Par Hai, FIR, May I Come In Madam? and Kumkum Bhagya among others feels Diwali is a time to celebrate with family.

She said, "Diwali is my favourite festival. The celebrations bring joy, excitement, and a lively atmosphere as people decorate their homes and surroundings, marking the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. For me Diwali is always a family time, On this day, Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, is worshipped for prosperity and happiness hence everyone of us together perform the rituals at home. I'm blessed with my granddaughter we consider her as our Lakshmi."

She continued, "I feel the festival celebrates the victory of good over evil, with each light symbolizing hope, knowledge, and positivity. Diwali is not only a festival but also it spreads cultural importance, encouraging love, harmony, and the joy of unity. I enjoy making Rangoli, I really love the festive spirit which is seen everywhere, from markets bustling with activity to homes glowing with the warmth of diyas and laughter."

The actress is happy to celebrate her Diwali with her reel and real family.

She added, "Diwali is very significant in my life as it also marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year, making it a perfect time for setting goals and embracing new opportunities. And I'm happy that this is a working Diwali. As I'm currently shooting for Mann Sundar, so I hardly get off. I was working on Karwa Chauth, Dhanteras. Just for Diwali I got off yesterday, and I'm happy to resume my work today. I pray my every Diwali is like this that I celebrate both at my home and sets. I wish the beauty of Deepavali fills our hearts with happiness and peace."

Urmila has acted in movies alongside Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan and previously she also featured in 'Raanjhanaa', 'And life in a Metro' among other films.
