Shiv Thakare feels his journey as a dancer, which started during his academics was a learning experience. The Indian reality television personality, known for his participation in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 feels like an art, it honours the rich tapestry of dance styles that weave cultures together.
He said, "My participation in the dance reality TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 was an amazing experience, not many knew I'm into dance since my school days. It helped me find the confidence and courage to be on stage and face the audience and to do theatre. The skills which made me who I'm today. It will always reflect my journey, telling a story of resilience, joy, and growth. I feel dance is an art of letting go, surrendering to the rhythm and letting it guide your soul. It connects us beyond boundaries, speaking a universal language of joy and expression, celebrating each moment with grace, passion, and music."
Shiv continued to highlight the benefits he enjoyed in his life after he started learning dance.
He shared, "Mastering new dance moves and routines can boost self-esteem and confidence, as individuals recognize their progress and abilities. Dancing often involves social interaction, whether in classes, workshops, or performances, helping individuals develop social skills, build relationships, and feel more comfortable in social settings. Dance is a form of exercise that improves coordination, flexibility, strength and overall physical health. Dance can also help individuals learn to manage and express emotions in healthy ways, promoting emotional stability and resilience."
He concluded by adding, "On this day, I wish to salute all the background dancers, and choreographers who show positivity, bringing happiness to the atmosphere and spreading the message of love and joy from their skills."
