Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to captivate the fashion world with his debut at the Met Gala 2025, held on May 5 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Aligning with the event's theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” Khan went shirtless in a black suit, with a waist coat that he paired with statement jewels and walking stick.
Designed by renowned Indian couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee, fans got a first glimpse of the actor's look as he stepped out of his hotel in the tailored suit that showed off his ripped physique. Special mention must be given to his jewels which featured a statement diamond-studded 'K' necklace and an 'SRK' choker among many other rows of jewellery.
Khan also rocked what looked like a diamond-studded star lapel pin.
Khan's appearance was met with hoots, cheers and screams from adoring fans who gathered outside the actor's hotel to get a first glimpse as he made his way to the Met. Greeting the fans, the actor blew kisses, waved and even personally greeted a few before security stepped in to ensure the actor's safety.
The Met Gala 2025, co-chaired by Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, and Lewis Hamilton, celebrates the rich tapestry of Black fashion and culture. Unlike past shows that highlighted the work of very famous designers like Karl Lagerfeld or Charles James, this exhibit includes a number of up-and-coming designers.
His participation not only marked a significant moment for Indian representation at the Met Gala but also showcased the global appeal of Indian fashion.
