'Operation Sindoor': 'The Kashmir Files' director Vivek Agnihotri and actor Anupam Kher praise Indian armed forces, say 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'

As news broke of the Indian Army’s missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor’, Bollywood stars quickly took to social media to express their admiration for the armed forces. This military operation, reportedly targeting terrorist sites, came in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent tourists.

Bollywood’s response was swift and filled with national pride. Director Vivek Agnihotri, best known for his hard-hitting film ‘The Kashmir Files’, was quick to share a simple yet powerful message on X (formerly Twitter), “Jai Hind,” lauding the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’.

Joining the director, actor Anupam Kher also voiced his support, writing on X, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai #OperationSindoor,” showing his respect and pride.


Riteish Deshmukh and Madhur Bhandarkar also laud the move
Other prominent celebs from the film industry also took to social media to express their pride in the Indian Armed Forces. Actor Riteish Deshmukh shared a powerful message, “Jai Hind Ki Sena… Bharat Mata Ki Jai!!! #OperationSindoor.”

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also joined in, posting, “Our prayers are with our forces. One nation, together we stand. Jai Hind, Vande Mataram.”

Aactor Paresh Rawal expressed his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi . Instead of words, he posted a series of folded hands emojis on X (formerly Twitter), letting the gesture convey his respect and admiration.

What is ‘Operation Sindoor’?
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor,’ a series of precision strikes that reportedly destroyed nine terrorist bases inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). This operation was carried out jointly by the Army, Navy, and Air Force, all from Indian soil. The Ministry of Defence described Operation Sindoor as "focused, measured and non-escalatory," emphasising that it specifically targeted terror infrastructure while avoiding any Pakistani military facilities. The operation aimed to dismantle terror networks linked to attacks on Indian soil, reported TOI.
