Is Vineet Raina likely to return to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlataa Hai as Dev Shekhawat?

There are talks doing the rounds about how actor Vineet Raina, who quit the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in May 2024 is likely to return. Vineet was playing the role of Dev Shekhawat and he was paired with Armaan's (Rohit Purohit) sister Charu in the show but because the actor had another pending project in Nigeria, he had to quit the show and his track was put on hold.

A source close to the production house confirmed that there are chances Vineet might return to the show. Currently, the track focusses on how Charu (Saloni Sandhu) is engaged to a rich spoilt guy Neeraj (Shabaaz Abdullah Badi). Charun does not like him but her parents force her to marry him. A source said, "The current track focusses on Charu's wedding and it is likely that the makers bring back Charu's ex-boyfriend Dev Shekhawat to the show. Charu liked him a lot and wanted to marry him and in the current track Neeraj keeps referring to Charu's boyfriend and how she has never forgotten him. Vineet is a good actor and the track had earlier connected with masses."

BT tried reaching out to Vineet Raina, but he was not available for comment.

In an earlier interview when Vineet quit the show, he said, "Dev Shekhawat is an interesting role. At that time I had to quit the show because I had committed to shooting for an OTT project in Nigeria. Rajan Shahi's team is like family and I have earlier worked with his team in Maykaa. I feel proud that I was part of such an interesting track in the show because the role was very interesting and substantial."
