Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap are celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary today, with a heartwarming touch of nostalgia, sharing memories from their wedding day that embraced the charm – and humor – of early 2000s photography. Married on November 1, 2008, the couple marked the special milestone by sharing a series of throwback photos, reflecting on their journey together and the playful quirks of their wedding memories.
Tahira, author and filmmaker, shared a set of photos on social media in the form of a carousel.
She posted pictures from her wedding and mehendi ceremonies. Tahira is known for her candid humor; hence, she termed the traditional wedding poses, bold backdrops, and decor choices as "cringe," which sums up the essence of early 2000s photography styles. Tahira humorously wrote in her post, "It has been quite a journey! From Shri Ganesh portraits, red zebra flowers as backdrop, contrived poses – kaafi lambi journey rahi hai." She added a loving note to Ayushmann saying, "When you celebrate cringe, you truly are in love."
Ayushmann too is very nostalgic, sharing Tahira's post on his Instagram story and adding the superhit Bollywood song Dekha Hai Pehli Baar from Saajan, reminding that their bond is time-less, and a sweet addition to their celebration.
They, parents of two children Virajveer and Varushka, have openly talked about their relationship, striking the ideal balance between a high-flying career in Bollywood and family life. Fans couldn't help but pour love when Ayushmann posted this anniversary wish and celebrated the fact that Tahira is bold and laughable. These were only a few of the characteristics that they were known for.
On the work front, Ayushmann's previous outing was the film 'Dream Girl 2'.
