IB ACIO Grade II Tech Recruitment 2025: Registration ends soon; apply online before deadline at mha.gov.in

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will soon close the registration process for the Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade II/Technical recruitment. Candidates who have not yet applied must do so before the deadline at mha.gov.in. The online application window, which opened on October 25, 2025, will close on November 16, 2025.

This year’s recruitment drive aims to fill 258 technical posts across Computer Science, Information Technology, and Electronics & Communication disciplines. The selection process is based on GATE scores (2023, 2024, or 2025), followed by a Skill Test and Interview. Interested candidates with valid GATE credentials should apply immediately to avoid last-minute issues.
IB ACIO Grade 2 vacancy detailsThe Intelligence Bureau has announced a total of 258 vacancies for the post of ACIO Grade II/Technical.

• Computer Science and Information Technology: 90 posts
  
• Electronics and Communication: 168 posts

These positions fall under Group ‘A’, Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) category, offering candidates a chance to work in one of India’s most prestigious intelligence agencies.
Eligibility criteriaCandidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech or Master’s degree in relevant disciplines from a recognised university.

• For CS/IT stream: B.Tech/BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, or allied branches, or MCA/MSc (CS/IT).
  
• For E&C stream: B.Tech/BE in Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, or MSc in Electronics/Physics with Electronics.

Additionally, applicants must possess a valid GATE score (2023, 2024, or 2025) in the respective discipline.
Age limitApplicants must be between 18 and 27 years of age as of November 16, 2025.

• Upper age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per government norms — OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), and departmental candidates up to 40 years.

IB ACIO Grade 2 selection processThe IB ACIO Tech recruitment will shortlist candidates primarily based on their GATE scores.
