APPSC Group 2 Mains exam date announced: Check details here

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced the APPSC Group 2 Mains exam date on the official website. According to the official notification, the mains exam will be conducted on January 5, 2025, in all 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. Approximately 1 lakh candidates will appear for the exam. The recruitment drive aims to fill 897 vacancies. Previously, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on July 28, 2024, but was postponed due to administrative reasons. The official notification regarding the postponement of the exam was published on July 3, 2024.

The APPSC Group 2 exam for 2024 consists of two stages: Prelims and Mains. The Preliminary exam, aimed at screening candidates for the Mains, includes 150 multiple-choice questions across General Studies and Mental Ability, with a 150-minute time limit. Each incorrect response deducts one-third of the question's marks.

The Mains exam comprises three equally weighted papers, featuring objective questions at a bachelor's degree level. Each correct answer scores one mark, while an incorrect answer incurs a one-third mark penalty.
