Mysuru: University of Mysore VC NK Lokanath on Wednesday appealed to students and the public to develop an interest in book reading for the enhancement of knowledge to succeed in their chosen careers and professions in life. He was speaking after inaugurating World Book Day, organised by the department of library at JSS College of Women. Book reading not only transformed the lives of great personalities like CV Raman, Mahatma Gandhi, BR Ambedkar, and several other notable figures, but it also influenced their work and ignited their minds to contribute to the progress of mankind.
