Vadodara: MS University on Saturday announced the results of all its final-year undergraduate (Semester 6) exams across all faculties, within 30 days of the last exam. This timely declaration is significant, as the university has often faced criticism for delays in releasing results.
University officials said the achievement involved remarkable coordination across 59 undergraduate programmes and affected the academic progress of 11,185 students. It was made possible through the sustained efforts of the examination section, faculty tabulators, central assessment cells (CAC) and supporting staff across departments.
Of the 59 programme results, 43 — over 72% — were announced within 25 days. Faculties such as Law, Family and Community Sciences, Technology and Engineering, and Social Work released their results the fastest, while even the largest faculties such as Commerce, Arts and Science declared their results within the 30-day time frame.
"This was not the work of any one section — it was a collective outcome. The examination staff, tabulators, CAC coordinators and support teams worked with sincerity and cooperation. Every single result was treated as a responsibility," said Professor Bhavna Mehta, controller of examinations (OSD).
"This is more than a statistic. It reaffirms what MSU stands for — responsibility, discipline and student service. Delivering results on time to over eleven thousand students is a testament to the coordination between the examination section and all faculties," said MSU's in-charge vice-chancellor, Professor Dhanesh Patel.
He added that the timely declaration of results plays a vital role in supporting students' next steps, including postgraduate admissions, scholarships and job applications. "It is our institutional duty to honour their timelines," he said.
