Kanpur: KDMA will clash with Rovers Club in the final of Second Surendra Singh Memorial T-20 invitation cricket tournament scheduled for Saturday, April 12.
KDMA defeated Olympic Regd by 37 runs in the first semi-final at Kanpur South ground on Friday. Batting first, KDMA amassed 160 runs in stipulated 20 overs. Satnam Singh scored 63 runs whilst Sumit Singh Raathore contributed 43 runs. Olympic Regd managed 129 runs in 20 overs, with Shubham Chaudhary scoring 55 runs.
Rovers Club vanquished host Kanpur South by 28 runs. Batting first, Rovers accumulated 9 for 169. Swar Tandon and Satyam Pandey were principal scorers with 32 and 31 runs respectively. Trishal Trivedi, Arpit Shukla and Ashutosh Pandey claimed two wickets each. Kanpur South succumbed at 141 runs in 17.5 overs. Upendra Pandey and Pranav Vohara scored 41 and 38 runs respectively. Satyam Pandey secured 4 wickets for 23 runs.
Friendly cricket match: Kanpur Commissionerate prevailed over Mayur Miracles by 2 wickets in a friendly match at BCA ground on Friday. Mayur Miracles posted 149 runs in 20 overs. Kanpur Commissionerate XI achieved 151 runs for 8 wickets. Gaurang Rathi and Akhil Kumar scored 40 and 31 runs respectively.
