Kanpur: Additional civil judge (Senior Division) ACMM MP/MLA court Anandesh Singh on Friday ordered to register a miscellaneous case against the inspector of Kalyanpur police station for non-compliance of court orders. The judge also directed him to submit his explanation before the court on the next date fixed as April 16.
According to case files, Vijay Prakash Pandey had lodged an FIR on November 25, 2022 against one Om Veer Singh, and charged him for murder threats, cheating, and criminal conspiracy. When the police could not complete their investigation in eight months, the complainant approached the court.
Pandey submitted to the court that the investigating officer was not filing any investigation report in his matter. The judicial official took cognizance and ordered submission of the report but the Kalyanpur police did not comply with that order. The court again sought the report, but this time the police informed that the matter stands closed as the final report had already been filed on July 5, 2024, and the matter was reported to ACP Kalyanpur. The judicial official ordered reinvestigation of the matter and summoned inspector Kalyanpur along with case diary and directed him to appear in court on March 29 last, but the inspector did not appear. Annoyed, the judge ordered on Friday to register a miscellaneous case against the inspector. The judge took the inspector's act seriously and observed that it appeared he was not taking the court orders seriously. tnn
