Marking the victory of good over evil, Diwali is observed with great enthusiasm across India, symbolizing the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile. From lighting diyas and bursting crackers to performing poojas and exchanging sweets, the festival brings families together in unique ways, with each region adding its own flavour to the celebrations.
As this festival of light approaches, actor Adrija Roy shares her thoughts on the significance of this vibrant festival. Adrija Roy, who essays the role of Palki in Kundali Bhagya said, "Diwali has always been a special time for me, filled with lights, love, and laughter. Along with my shoot for Kundali Bhagya, I’ve started my Diwali preparations early so I can bring the festive magic to life at home.”
“Decorating the house with diyas and rangoli brings me immense joy, and I’ve planned some thoughtful gifts for the people who matter the most to me. Diwali is more than just a single day; it’s a celebration that starts from Navratri and carries on with the same excitement and positivity. I am also a big believer in celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali, avoiding anything that harms the environment. This year, I’ll allow myself a little cheat meal and indulge in my all-time favorites—Kaju Katli and Gulab Jamun. I can’t wait to celebrate this beautiful festival with my loved ones and make new memories."
