Of course, Bollywood kick-started the glitzy Diwali week with a grand bash at Manish Malhotra's residence. Always a fashion extravaganza, Manish's Diwali party had Karan pull out all the stops with his bright red sherwani. Designed by Manish Malhotra himself, Karan was clad in the statement cardinal red floral hand-embroidered sherwani.

Festive dressing and Karan Johar certainly go hand in hand, considering even his sweet and simple kurta looks are an elaborate affair. For yet another one his glamorous ensembles, Karan was decked in a mirror-work kurta designed by Abhinav Mishra.

For designer duo Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's Diwali bash, the ace couturiers dressed Karan in a beige Sherwani hand-embroidered with an abundance of mirrors. The gorgeous three-piece kurta set is easily one his best ethnic looks to date!

Last but not the least, Karan was a vision of grace and elegance in a Rohit Bal Sherwani featuring gold threadwork and a bandhgala design. One of his more subdued looks this festive season, he sure did look dapper in his all-black moment. Paired with all his ethnic OOTDs was a statement ring from Tyaani Jewellery aka Karan's own jewellery brand.
