New Delhi: Dhanteras will be celebrated across India on October 29 (Tuesday). On this auspicious day, people worship Lord Dhanvantari, the god of health and Ayurveda. The puja muhurat is from 06:31 PM to 08:13 PM. Notably, the stock market will remain open on Dhanteras, as per the list of holidays on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) website.The stock market will also be open on October 31 as the official holiday for Diwali this year has been declared on November 1. The markets will be closed on Friday (November 1) with the exception of Muhurat trading that will will take place between 6 PM and 7 PM.

What Is Muhurat Trading?Muhurat trading is a special trading session conducted on Laxmi Pujan Day during Diwali. Both the NSE (National Stock Exchange) and BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) will host this symbolic session.
