Han So-Hee Age Controversy: K-drama Actress Reveals Why She Lied About Being A Year Younger Than Actual Age

Han So-hee's birth year has created quite the stir across social media and fan communities. The K-drama starlet has been accused of lying about her age.

Han So-hee lied about her age?Recently, a pic that showed Han So-hee's birth year as 1993 surfaced online. The snap ended up stirring a controversy of sorts since the actress' public profiles claimed she was born in 1994.

While it is not uncommon for stars to have a different birth date from their real one, Han So-hee's label 9ato Entertainment issued a statement to explain the heartbreaking reason behind the difference between her real and profile age. "When she was about to enter 4th grade, she was forcibly taken to Ulsan due to her mother being wanted by the authorities. She then spent a year at home without attending school, and after her mom was incarcerated, she returned to Wonju and re-enrolled in the fourth grade," the label told South Korean media outlet TenAsia. The process of re-enrollment seemingly caused a mix-up of Han So-hee's age.
