Bengalureans, THIS New Feature Makes Nagaraa Autorickshaw Rides Easier For Commuters; Here's How

Send Push

Bengaluru: The commuters in Bengaluru have a reason to cheer as Nagaraa, the city's popular metered autorickshaw app, has introduced the NAMMA Code feature. Launched in celebration of Karnataka Rajyotsava, this feature promises to make multi-trip autorickshaw travel smoother by allowing users to use a single, reusable code for the entire day, as reported by The Indian Express.Previously, Nagaraa required users to generate a unique code for each trip. However, with the introduction of the NAMMA Code, users now receive a four-digit code valid until midnight. This allows them to book multiple rides across different locations without re-entering personal details, streamlining the experience for both passengers and drivers.

How NAMMA Code WorksTo get started, users simply message "Hi" to Nagaraa's WhatsApp chatbot at 9620020042. After sharing their initial pick-up details, they receive information about the driver and autorickshaw assigned to them. The same code can then be reused for additional rides throughout the day, making it ideal for those with several stops. This improvement, developed by Agnibu Technologies and Brand Pride Mobility Pvt Ltd, aims to boost convenience and efficiency for Bengaluru’s commuters. Niranjanardhya N, CEO of Brand Pride Mobility, shared that the NAMMA Code feature reduces idle time for drivers, helping them find more customers and complete additional rides daily. Possible Metro Integration in the WorksNagaraa is also exploring a potential collaboration with the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) to integrate NAMMA Code with the Namma Metro’s chatbot feature. This integration would allow metro passengers to book autorickshaw rides directly from metro stations, enhancing the ease of transitioning between public transit and autorickshaw services. Rising Demand for Nagaraa’s ServicesSince its inception, Nagaraa has onboarded over 6,200 auto drivers and recorded an average trip length of 4.61 km with an average fare of Rs 118 per trip. With 7,238 trips completed so far, the app’s popularity reflects the rising demand for convenient, metered autorickshaw options in Bengaluru.
