Ahmedabad: A dead body of a rickshaw-driver was found with mutilated private parts in a closed laundry shop on Kankaria Road in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The murder was allegedly committed by a 27-year-old man who used to iron clothes at a laundry shop. The incident came to light after a foul smell started to spread from inside the shop, leading locals to inform the police. The ongoing investigation hit several twists.

He admitted to killing the man, named Ravi Vaghela, over a money dispute.The accused has been identified as Dinesh Kanojiya. The Kagdapith Police found out that the two men were friends with each other. Kanojiya stated that Vaghela had stolen Rs 40,000 from him. Dinesh confessed to the crime, and asked the police if he could leave "as he had a lot of ironing to do,” said Inspector S A Patel. It was hidden underneath the table, masked with a brick wall. According to a police complaint, the body of Vaghela showed injuries on private parts, face, neck and hands.Though Kanojiya told that he had committed the crime for the loan, the semi-naked body with private parts injuries hint at “a motive beyond theft”. He told the police that Kanojiya had lent Rs 200 from him on October 23, and on that night, he saw an old man come to meet Kanojiya. Kanojiya introduced the man as Ravi Vaghela from Isanpur to the shop owner. A day after that, Kanojiya disappeared who was later found working in another laundry shop. He brought him back, and Kanojiya started working as usual from then onwards. The shop owner informed the police that he had hired the 27-year-old for ironing clothes, and allowed him to sleep next door, added the media report. However, the shop owner observed a rickshaw standing near the shop. Upon enquiring, Kanojiya told the owner that the rickshaw belonged to Ravi who will collect it later.In the meantime, a foul smell started emanating from the area. The owner, and the other observed that the smell was coming from the shop that was closed at the time. Upon opening the outlet, the smell intensified.
