A 6.1-magnitude earthquake was reported 253 km west-northwest of Bandon, Oregon. No tsunami warning was issued. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the quake struck at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday at a depth of 14 km.The National Weather Service confirmed there was no tsunami threat, stating on X, "There is NO Tsunami Danger with this 6.1 earthquake off the coast of Oregon. Repeat: NO Tsunami Danger."
