Parts of the UK will see temperatures plummet to as low as 4C amid a period of cooler weather for the country. July has seen hot temperatures across the country, with many parts of the UK the subject of heat warnings as the mercury climbed above 30C in some areas.
But the beginning of August could herald a brief respite for some, according to new data released by WXCharts.com. A Met Office long-range forecast for July 30 to August 8 also said: "During early August, high pressure may start to have greater influence as it builds northeast across the country. This bringing more prolonged settled spells to many areas."

It added: "Breeziest conditions across the north of the country.
"Temperatures generally near average though with some warmer spells likely."
The mild temperatures are expected to hit the UK on August 1 with temperatures of 4C and 5C likely across many parts of Scotland in the early morning.
England is expected to be warmer, with the mercury likely to be closer to 10C, although only East Anglia will wake to temperatures of 11C or higher.
Throughout the day, the temperature will rise but it is unlikely to come close to the heights seen across most of July when many parts of the country were subjected to heatwave conditions.
By midday, thermometers in Scotland will be hanging at around 10C, with a similar story expected in Wales and northern England.
The south of England will see temperatures reach the low teens, with London expected to hit 12C and whilst the south coast and parts of Kent can expect highs of 14C.
The brief respite from scorching conditions is unlikely to last, with the middle of August likely to see temperatures in excess of those normal for the time of year.
A Met Office long-range forecast for August 9 to August 20 predicts: "While westerly winds will bring changeable conditions at times, some settled spells are likely to develop during August.
"These bringing more prolonged dry and sunny weather, especially across the south of the country but potentially spreading to all areas at times.
"Temperatures will likely be near or above average overall. There is a chance of some very warm or hot spells, especially in the south and east."
