Queen Camilla Grants Royal Warrant to 'favourite' designer - loved by Queen Elizabeth

Launer London has been officially awarded a Royal Warrant by Queen Camilla. For over two decades, the Queen has supported the luxury British designer.

The 77-year-old royal is frequently photographed carrying Launer designs, including the Toscana clutch, which she owns in several colours. She recently carried a white version at Royal Ascot last week as she stepped out at the annual horseracing event with her husband, King Charles.

Launer London is renowned for its handcrafted leather goods, particularly its iconic handbags. The brand is celebrated for its understated elegance, meticulous craftsmanship, and longstanding ties to British royalty-most notably the late Queen Elizabeth II, who famously favoured their bags.

In 1968, Queen Elizabeth awarded Launer a Royal Warrant after the brand had supplied her with handbags for several years.

Their designs became a staple in her wardrobe throughout her 70-year reign. Nearly six decades later, Queen Camilla has continued the legacy by granting the brand a new Royal Warrant in her own name.

On Instagram the brand shared a message on behalf of Gerald Bodmer, who is the owner and CEO Launer London, announcing the news.

It read: "It is with pride we confirm that Launer has been granted a Royal Warrant by appointment to Her Majesty The Queen."

"It is a proud chapter for Launer to have been granted a Royal Warrant by appointment to Her Majesty The Queen," he continued.

Before adding: "It has been an honour to supply her with handbags for over two decades including the bag for Her Majesty's wedding to His Majesty King Charles III. I view this appointment with pride and in recognition of the dedicated artisans at Launer, who craft our products with continuous passion and skill.

"It is a continuation of Launer's 62-year-old relationship with The Royal Household, which is an immense privilege."

On her wedding day, Queen Camilla paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth by carrying a Launer London handbag as she was photographed alongside King Charles exiting the Guildhall in Windsor.

In 2020, Queen Camilla visited Launer London's headquarters, where she was welcomed by CEO Gerald Bodmer.

He guided her through the traditional processes behind the brand's craftsmanship. During the visit, she also met the skilled artisans who handcraft each leather item in the collection.
