King Charles is looking for a new housekeeper for beloved residence until key royal date

is looking for a new housekeeper to work at Windsor Castle, with the ideal candidate motivating the team "to achieve the highest standards of presentation time and time again".

The new hire will have the offer of living in and travelling to other residences including Balmoral and the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland.

The deadline for applications are closing in fast, with the closing date taking place on a key date in the royal calendar - Remembrance Sunday, November 10.

According to the advert on the royal website, the one year fixed term contract starts in February and offers a "competitive" salary plus benefits.

The advert continues: "Based at Windsor Castle, you'll supervise a small team of housekeeping assistants. In a varied and dynamic role, you'll oversee the team's day-to-day activities, and motivate them to achieve the highest standards of presentation time and time again.

"You'll monitor day-to-day duties and oversee the efficient preparation of rooms for functions, events and accommodation.

"You'll plan and prioritise alongside a busy calendar of events, and whether managing rotas, logistics or resources, you'll ensure your team are in place and ready to support the housekeeping services.

"You'll also support the wider department taking on front-of-house duties and supporting the busy event schedule. People management will be a large part of the role too; you'll support the ongoing personal development of a highly dedicated team."

It also states that the candidate will "lead by example", adding, "training 'on-the-job' and guiding those around you to develop their skills. And by encouraging ideas and adapting to each new situation, you'll be a driving force behind the housekeeping team.

"This role is an accommodated position. Although principally based at Windsor, the role will see you and your team travelling to and working at other royal residencies throughout the year."

King Charles is said to be looking for someone with "previous housekeeping experience" and a "committed" individual - as well as someone looking to expand their "leadership skills".
