The Chase happened to air a "very apt" question about Donald Trump this evening in the wake of him winning the US Election last night, against his opponent Kamala Harris.
Chaser Paul Sinha shed some light on when people "first became aware of Trump's reputation", more than 30 years ago, in the 90s. It comes as Bradley asked: "In a 1990 'Vanity Fair' article, whose first wife claimed that he slept with a book of Hitler speeches by his bed?"
The optional answers were Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando or Donald Trump. The Chase contestant answered Marlon, admitting that she "had no idea", however the correct answer was shown to be Donald Trump.
Chaser Paul Sinha explained the correct answer as he said: "The film Gremlins 2 came out in 1990 and there's a villian in the film that was very much a parody of Donald Trump. So in 1990, I thought that was when people were becoming aware of Donald Trump's reputation."
