Fried eggs instantly make any breakfast or lunch much more exciting. Whether it's served on top of toast, avocado or beans, you really can't beat that crispy white with the gorgeous golden yolk in the middle.

While they are relatively easy to make, they can taste pretty bland on their own. This is where other ingredients can really come in handy if you want to give your fried eggs an extra kick of flavour. And according to top chef Gordon Ramsay, there's one key cupboard staple that can instantly transform this classic dish.

The iconic chef recently took to TikTok to share a clip of himself cooking up some delicious fried eggs on the TV show Next Level Chef. He says they will taste 'to die for' if you follow his simple recipe, which involves getting creative and adding a few extras to the pan.

And his method starts much the same as any other fried egg dish - with a bit of oil in hot pan, and a small amount of butter too.

Once the butter is starting to melt, crack the eggs on a flat surface and pop these in the pan too.

The eggs should be bubbling away nicely at this point, so season with salt, pepper and a touch of chilli flakes. Gordon said: "Once you've got that butter foaming, just roll the pan around. And that foaming butter cooks the egg white beautifully."

Expertly swishing the eggs around in the buttery pan, Gordon explained that this technique helps to 'flood' the centre of the egg. He added: "There's quite an art in frying an egg perfectly."

If you like the ends nice and crispy then this is the technique for you. However, you can really crank it up a notch by rummaging in your kitchen cupboards for one surprising extra - Worcestershire sauce.

As well as adding 'a touch of sriracha', Gordon also added a generous drizzle of Worcestershire sauce to the eggs in the pan. He said: "Then, from there, just take the gas off and the remaining heat in the pan will continue cooking those eggs. And honestly, they are to die for."

And people in the comments certainly seemed to agree. One person wrote: "My man... that's the way I like mine."

Another said: "I cooked this the other morning, I loved it, thank you Gordon."

And a third commented: "I've done this and it's fantastic, will only fry eggs this way from now on."
