Chelsea 'put player up for sale' after making move for £50m Jamie Gittens

will reportedly listen to offers for Noni Madueke this summer, as they look to plot a move for Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens. The Blues signed Madueke from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023 for £28.5million.

Madueke has been used regularly by Enzo Maresca this season, both in the Premier League and Chelsea's successful Conference League campaign. The attacker featured 41 times for Chelsea, netting 11 goals and assisting a further five in the process.

His performances have on the whole been positive under Maresca, but it might not be enough to keep him at the club beyond the summer. That's because are reporting the two-time European champions would be open to letting him leave, should a suitable offer be sent their way.

It isn't understood what sort of offer would tempt Chelsea into parting ways with the 23-year-old, but Madueke's exit could help fund the west Londoners' move for Dortmund starlet Gittens. The winger spent time in the Chelsea academy as a youngster and has since caught the eye playing for the Bundesliga outfit in Germany.

It's claimed by the same outlet Dortmund will demand around £50m to let Gittens leave this summer - an asking price Chelsea are said to be willing to meet. Chelsea are believed to be in the market for a right-footed winger capable of cutting in from the left-hand side.

Wesley Fofana could also be one to watch, with the Frenchman's fitness issues meaning he could be moved on if the price is right.

Chelsea will have a mini-window to sign players before they head to the United States for this summer's Club World Cup. Their campaign gets underway against Los Angeles FC on 16 June in Atlanta, with Esperance Sportive de Tunis and Flamengo making up the other teams in their group. Chelsea will receive at least £50m for their participation in the competition, with it estimated close to £100m could be taken home by the winner.
