Instead of using white vinegar and baking soda, Lynsey swears by the power of soda crystals.

Just like baking soda, soda crystals are alkali but just stronger and so more effective at breaking down grease, making them perfect for cleaning your air fryer.

Lynsey said, "Keep on top of cleaning your air fryer by getting into the habit of cleaning it after every single use."

The first step is to unplug your air fryer and remove the basket and any other removable bits that can be washed and soaked.

Next, Lynsey instructed: "Grab some soda crystals or liquid soda crystals - these are fantastic for soaking up grease, fats and oils.

"Just add some boiling water, let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes, and simply rinse away."

The effectiveness of this solution hangs on making sure the baking soda is wet and giving it enough time to pry off the grease.

After rinsing, ensure all parts are completely dry with a clean towel or by air drying before reassembling your air fryer and plugging it back in.

For an even easier method to keep your air fryer clean, Lynsey Crombie is a fan of using silicone liners inside, which you can remove and clean after each use.
