Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for 12 districts of Odisha till 1 pm on Monday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower along with lightning may occur at one or two places in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
Meanwhile, the low-pressure area over north Telangana & adjoining Vidarbha has become less marked.
The weather agency further stated that conditions have become favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some more parts of Rajasthan and some parts of Punjab and Gujarat during the next 2 days.
