From common people to Bollywood stars, everyone celebrates Diwali with great pomp and show. Diwali is everyone's favorite festival. Bollywood's Diwali is also very famous. This festival of lights is celebrated with great enthusiasm by the big families of the industry. Salman Khan and his family believe in every festival and every religion. Diwali and Eid are also celebrated in the Khan family. On Diwali, people often worship the wealth of their house. You must have heard that gambling is also played on Diwali, but why is this done, Salman Khan's father Salim Khan has already answered this.
Actually, an old video is going viral on social media very fast. In this video, Salim Khan is seen explaining why people used to gamble on Diwali. It has a direct connection with Lakshmi ji. In the viral clip, Salim Khan says, "Ask big people why people gamble on Diwali. Gambling worth crores has started now, it is happening in Hong Kong, it is happening in London... did anyone ask Aaj Tak why people gamble?"
Salim Khan himself answers this question and says, “We used to perform Lakshmi Puja by keeping all our capital and jewelry. At a fixed time. It had our account books, our assets, and contracts, we used to keep all these and perform the Puja. Many times, after seeing so much wealth, we used to get arrogant and look at how much wealth we have. People used to take cowries, make them a symbol of Lakshmi, and gamble for 15 minutes to see that Lakshmi was there but how quickly the situation changed. Don’t let it go to your head.”
Salim Khan further said, "It is Laxmi, today you have it, tomorrow he has it. Those people used to keep a cowrie shell, today this person has it, and tomorrow that person has it. It is a very good thing. But there is no pride or arrogance about it." People like Salim Khan's words. For the past few months, Salman Khan and the Khan family have been receiving continuous threats. Last Tuesday too, Salman Khan received a death threat.
