Hindu organizations like Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal protested strongly against this viral video and accused it of hurting religious sentiments . They demanded strict action from the Badaun police administration .

Quick police action: FIR and arrest

Badaun SP City Rakesh Kumar Singh confirmed to the media that as soon as the authenticity of the viral video was confirmed, the youth was identified and arrested . An FIR has been registered against the youth under section 295A (hurting religious sentiments) of the IPC .

The SP also said, "We do not favour any religion or community, but violation of rules at any religious place will not be tolerated. What was shown in the viral video could have led to religious frenzy, so immediate arrests were made."

Temple administration's response: Silence and concern

When reporters contacted the temple committee , head priest Pandit Ashok Mishra said, "This is a tampering with our religious faith. The temple premises are open to everyone, but it is everyone's responsibility to maintain religious decorum . This is the first time such an incident has happened."

He demanded from the administration that CCTV cameras and permanent police posts should be installed for the security and monitoring of the temples.

Fear of communal tension: Administration on alert

After the viral video , the situation in Badaun remains tense. Section 144 has been imposed in the district and additional police force has been deployed in sensitive areas . The administration is appealing to the people to maintain peace .

Badaun District Magistrate Prabhakar Tripathi said, "This incident is unfortunate. At present the situation is under control, but we are investigating from every angle whether it was a conspiracy or a common mistake . Do not pay attention to any rumors, and refrain from sharing the viral video."

Reaction of opposition and ruling party

Political rhetoric has also started on the incident . Samajwadi Party said, "Law and order has collapsed under the BJP government, even religious places are not safe now." At the same time, the BJP spokesperson retorted, "The government is fully alert and whoever has hurt religious sentiments has been brought to the clutches of law ."
