Simply crack an egg into the bowl, add enough water to cover the yolk, then pop it into the microwave. The cooking time will vary depending on your microwave's power, so be prepared for a little trial and error to find the sweet spot.
Dana's mum reckons this is usually between 36 to 45 seconds - with her own magic number being precisely 44 seconds, reports .
She revealed: "It can generally go between 36 and 45 seconds, then out comes the perfect poached egg."
After zapping it in the microwave, Dana's mum served up the poached egg onto a dish, and with one slice, unveiled the idyllic soft-set poached treasure with an oozy, golden centre.
