A man has tragically died after a horror collision between a car and a ride-on lawnmower, prompting a police appeal for witnesses.
The victim, in his 30s, was travelling on the lawnmower when the incident happened on the N76 at Kilcash Cross in County Tipperary. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place. There were no other injuries reported in the incident.
An appeal for witnesses has been issued by authorities. Anyone with dashcam footage who were travelling in the area at around 9.50pm on Friday evening. The road remained closed on Saturday morning to facilitate a technical examination by forensic collision investigators.
