A horror movie that is dubbed as the 'scariest film of 2024' and blamed for causing sleepless nights is now available to stream.
Hit sequel Smile 2 has just been added to Paramount+'s exclusive library. The streamer is known as the home of shows such as South Park, Frasier and Star Trek. It also offers a varied list of films to stream on its own app. Alternatively, users can sign up via an add-on subscription through Amazon Prime Video.
Unfortunately for UK users, at the time of writing, the original film is only available to rent via digital storefronts. However, the follow up should satisfy horror fans even without having watched the first title.

Continuing on from the 2022 release, Smile 2 sees the curse from the first film, pass to pop star Skye Riley , played by Naomi Scott. It happens just as she's about to embark on a major comeback world tour. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and pressures of fame, she must face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.
The film also stars You actor Lukas Gage, as well as Rosemarie DeWitt, Kyle Gallner, Miles Guiterrez-Riley and Ray Nicholson, son of Jack Nicholson. While the sequel didn't perform as well at the box office, it did receive a higher Rotten Tomatoes score than its predecessor with 86%.
Audiences were quick to label it as the scariest film of 2024 with many sharing their opinions of the film online. One said: "Smile 2 blew me away! An award-worthy step-up in every way to the original: magnificent cinematography, clever jump scares, bloody, gnarly imagery and thematic depth surrounding grief, trauma and guilt. Career-best performance from Naomi Scott. 2024's best horror film. Damn!"
Another added: "Smile 2 delivers a fantastic story and amazing imagery. The plot, although predictable, was thoroughly enjoyable. The jump scares are so well done, I nearly dropped my popcorn twice, but what ultimately sells it is the amazing portrayal of Skye and her trauma by Naomi Scott."
Some viewers after going to see the film in cinemas shared videos on TikTok of their immediate reaction. Many of them advised others to not see the film - mostly because they predicted a sleepless night ahead.

One user posted: "I am not sleeping tonight. Walking out of the Smile 2 movie, I am never ever recovering. The most disturbing thing I have ever seen."
Someone else shared: "I'm not sleeping for a week. Just saw Smile 2. That was nothing like the first one. Traumatised doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. It was so good but so horrifying and unexpected."
They continued: "It was unpredictable, terrifying and I never had so much whiplash in my life. On another note, Naomi Scott gave an Oscar award winning performance."
Smile 2 is streaming on Paramount+.
