Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher have hired security to protect their mother's house as Oasis fans flock to Manchester. The brothers are returning home to Heaton Park for the second set of dates of their reunion tour.

As fans flock to Manchester ahead of the Heaton Park gigs, they have been making a pit stop at the band's childhood home. Noel and Liam's mum Peggy still lives in their childhood home, having refused to leave the house.

Fans have been spotted on the street and taking snaps outside the home and visit a piece of Oasis history. However, in order to protect their mum Peggy, Noel and Liam have hired security.

In new photos, a guard is seen standing outside the house and patrolling the street, as fans gathered to take selfies and photos outside the infamous property which was once home to the Gallagher brothers.

In a new interview, Noel opened up about the global appeal of the band, where he explained why the group is both loved by those who grew up with them and those who were not around for their first round of success.

"A new generation recognises how Oasis wasn’t manufactured. It was chaotic, and flawed, and not technically brilliant. We were rough and ready guys from a rehearsal room, and people recognised it," he explains.

Speaking about their music, he said: "I didn’t invent anything. I had good taste in music, a cool record collection, I could write a melody simple enough to make it work, and it was 50% inspiration and 50% copying."

At their first gigs in Cardiff, fans watched on as the brothers reunited for the first time on stage in well over a decade. The brothers walked out on stage at Principality Stadium to deafening cheers from the crowd.

Walking to the stage with their song "F**king in the Bushes"playing, they wasted no time as they performed their hit "Hello." Thousands of pints were thrown into the air as the sold out crowd celebrated the band being back together.

"Hey, beautiful people, it's been too long," Liam said as he addressed the crowd before performing their 1995 mega-hit, Morning Glory. In true Liam style, he made a cheeky remark to the crowd, joking: "I see you’re all on the glue still down there!"

The brothers had only been pictured together twice since announcing the tour over a year ago, and they sang a string of hits including Don't Look Back In Anger, Champagne Supernova and, of course, Wonderwall.

Liam also claimed last year he was the one to wave the olive branch in terms of them getting back together. He said: "I called him but don’t tell anyone as I don't want folk thinking I’m a soft lad and stuffs keep it between me n you cheers."
