Next's £29 wide-fit sandals are 'surprisingly comfortable' and easy to walk in

Shoppers have praised a pair of wide-fit sandals from Next for their comfort and stylish design. The retailer's £29 wide-fit Forever Comfort Thong Sandals have a square toe and come in red, black, and tan-brown hues.

They were also offered in a chocolate brown shade; however, this colour has sold out. The model sporting the beige colour teams them with a white crochet co-ord.

The red sandals are ideal for adding a pop of colour to any summer outfit. The model chose to pair them with a white, floaty mini dress.

The Forever Comfort Thong Sandals come in sizes three to eight, with half sizes also on offer. Sizing availability varies depending on which colour shoppers opt for.

Chunky sandals are another popular choice for the summertime. Debenhams has slashed 50% off these Crystal Radiant Double Strap Sliders, now down to £29.99, reduced from £59.99.

Shoppers looking for comfortable heeled sandals can opt for a wedge. These New Look wide-fit Gold Faux Leather Platform Wedges are £39, and would look lovely with a maxi dress.

Next's wide-fit sandals have an overall customer satisfaction rating of 4.5, with one shopper writing: "Thought they would be a bit hard to walk in but was very surprised how comfortable they are and lovely soft leather well made and very inexpensive for what they are. True to size and I would recommend."

Another said: "Love these! A perfect, upmarket flip flop in snazzy patent leather, for those smart-casual outings when the cheap, foam and plastic version won't cut it. Comfy too."

The same shopper also added a word of caution: "Just be aware it's a hard sole that 'slaps' loudly with each step, and can be a bit slippery underfoot walking on smooth/shiny surfaces (eg ceramic tiled floors). Size-wise I'd say they're true to size, bordering on generous."

Another was not pleased with the sole, writing: "Not very comfy. The sole is very rigid so the toe post pulls on the top of the foot and between the toes when you walk. Good quality and look as they do in the picture."

An additional buyer concludes: "They are really comfortable and the colour goes with all outfits, including dresses."
