Met Office issues rare amber storm warning as millions face 'danger to life' image

A rare amber weather warning has been issued as thunderstorms could cause "danger to life" in a matter of hours. The Met Office has warned millions of Brits that "areas of heavy rain" will crash down over the southeast this weekend with "embedded thunderstorms" set to gradually move north throughout the day.

At its height, the weather system could pour out up to four inches of rainfall, dramatically raising the flash flood risk and creating "significant impacts", especially over urban centres. The southeast isn't the only part of the country currently on notice though, as a host of yellow weather alerts have been issued elsewhere.

Sarah Everard's family 'couldn't see her to say goodbye' due to killer's act image

Murderers who hide, dismember or burn the corpses of their victims could soon face a new criminal offence of desecrating the body, which has been backed by grieving families.

Grieving families - including the parents ofSarah Everard - met with MPs to tell of the torment they feel knowing their loved one’s bodies had been violated by their killers. The meeting followed a campaign by Marie McCourt whose 22-year-old daughter, Helen, was murdered in 1988 by pub landlord Peter Simms. Her remains have never been found.

Families met with Victims Minister Alex Davies-Jones earlier this week and she vowed to review current legislation. Among them were Sarah Everard’s mother, Susan, who spoke about how her daughter’s body was set alight and hidden inside bin bags before being submerged in water by twisted Wayne Couzens.

He travelled to Angola as a patron of landmine clearance charity the Halo Trust and spoke to families in a remote village near Africa’s largest minefield while there. Harry made the trip solo, leaving Meghan at home in California with their children, Prince Archieand Princess Lilibet, with sources citing safety concerns over why the Duke of Sussex made the visit alone.

Experts explain chronic condition Donald Trump diagnosed with image

US President Donald Trump has been diagnosed with a chronic vein condition, the White House has confirmed. The announcement follows widespread speculation about his health sparked by images showing his hands appearing bruised and heavily made-up.

After experiencing swelling in his legs, President Trump underwent a 'comprehensive exam', White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed. She attributed his bruised hand to "tissue damage from frequent handshaking" while on aspirin, which is "part of a standard cardio-vascular prevention regimen".

The 79 year old president, who once boasted of being "the healthiest president that's ever lived", is now grappling with chronic venous insufficiency. This condition arises when veins in the legs are unable to adequately return blood to the heart, leading to pooling in the lower extremities and subsequent swelling.

'Dear middle-aged men: your time is up' image

Finally, middle-age is a glorious thing, for a woman. You stop giving a damn, and start taking names and kicking butt.

But for a man it's a sea of insecurity, as strength recedes even faster than hairlines, and ego seems to expand in direct proportion to waistline.

And so it was for John Torode and Gregg Wallace, the Masterchef narcissists who made a fortune from telling other people they were doing it wrong while revelling in their own inability to understand there were other ways of doing things.
