Man Utd injury news: Ruben Amorim's defensive crisis continues as trio miss Lyon training

Manchester United received mixed news on the injury front ahead of the biggest game of their season against Lyon on Thursday. United host the French side at Old Trafford in the second leg of their quarter-final with the success of Ruben Amorim's first campaign riding solely on progression in the competition.

Amorim knows how important the Lyon game will be to shaping his debut campaign, given his side's struggles in the league, where they have lost 14 matches for the second successive season. He immediately turned his attention to Lyon after the Newcastle match, which also saw him taking key players off to protect them.
